Maria Fernanda Alvim is the FGH Strategic Information Director, based in Maputo. Fernanda leads all strategic information and M&E activities at FGH. She oversees the development of systems for data management and reporting, leads data analysis for all FGH projects, and leads the organization’s strategic information team. Maria Fernanda has over 30 years of experience in global health. Prior to joining FGH, Maria Fernanda worked for various international organizations including the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), World Health Organization (WHO), and ICAP in Brazil, Panama, Angola, and Mozambique respectively. Fernanda completed her Master of Public Health at the State University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as well as a postgraduate degree in Health Surveillance and Evaluation of Endemic Diseases Programs Control, and an advanced studies diploma in International Health.
